Two-4-Won! Went down to RB at 8:30am and waited for an hour, there was some wind outside but nothing much inside. I would have schlogged out to it but then it it died like it was supposed to, I would be quite a ways out and didn't want to be a loser and end up getting towed out around Trial by the Tide or have breakage as no one else was around. So headed home and did family stuff, took kid for some practice driving, went and had coffee with my oldest daughter out in Sidney. Looked at the RB Cam on the BWD website when I got home and saw what looked like wind inside and outside. So headed down. Arrived 1:45pm with no Wings around so thought it wasn't happening. Lots of people walking and waterbabies getting their cold water fixes. Got the binocs out and looked outside and it looked good enough to foil. So rigged up the fattest 7.0m Flyer I could make and wetsuited up and headed for the water. A buddy was walking by with his wife and started to chat so I had to say 'Beat It', IT'S TIME!! Jumped on the board and BANG! Caught a gust right off the beach and foiled quite a ways out, wind was better out farther but didn't want to get caught out there so turned and headed back. There was some good gusts just off C-Lover so turned again and headed back for the 11kts outside. Did a few more reaches and it was very light so decided to pull the plug after 20 mins and 10kms, I know, I know, pretty weak Bobson but I really didn't want to schlog today. It was beautiful, maybe 10 degrees. 10 knots and 10 kms. I've foiled for the last 4 days, so pretty great because it doesn't look like much for the next few days. I've done 110kms in the last 4 days which isn't too freakin' bad. Lots of walkers by today, RB walkway was packed. There might have been a ULR/Mrs. ULR siting, also a possible Twizz Drive By and some super cra-cra car driving by giving a huge WooHoo!! So, whomever that was.... THANKS!! Didn't come off the foil today, so really got lucky as went out at the right time and came in at the right time although as I was packing up the wind seemed to be making a comeback. Came home and raked leaves and then cracked open the best ice-cold C-Rona and had a shower and now watching some MNF!! Pretty sweet day.
