Temperature was -6 on my app and blowing 18kts so apparently that works out to -15 wind chill. The wind wasn't as crazy as yesterday so decided to give it a go. HighRocker said he was in so that cemented it. LET'S GO!!!! Put wetsuit and booties on at home, smart! It felt like it was going to be chilly so brought out the 5/4 wetsuit to be safe. Arrived to a gusty 10-17kts with some holes so rigged the 5.2m Flyer. Put in 40 mins then came in to check on H-Rocker and drink some hot tea even though I was feeling pretty warm. The NRS mitts are the cat's meow! Hands never felt cold today. I'd pay $150 for those as really the hands are the most important. The sail window was completely frozen after about 1 minute so had to use 'The Force' when gybing as I couldn't see anything thru the sail which felt a bit weird kind of like gybing with my eyes closed. Thank God the Force is strong with me. HA! After 5 mins of drinking some tea, headed back out and wind was stronger now and solid with less holes. Probably 15-20kts so the 5.2m was a bit of a handful. I had a coffee date with my daughter planned for 3pm so decided I'd had enough and pulled the frozen plug. HA! I'm really hoping there is 10kts tomorrow for another frosty session.
