Went to Willows 1st thing this morning and no bueno. Went and had coffee with my daughter then went home and cleaned garage then saw possible wind at RB. Arrived at 2pm, 6kts. Drove up to the lookout over Trial Island, no wind to be seen. Watched for 20 mins and saw what looked like wind towards Metchosin so headed back to RB with hope in my heart. Arrived to 6kts. Waited 20 mins and The Wind arrived at the same time Windoc did. He left saying something about not liking the wind anymore, I thought that was weird but smiled and nodded. He left, I rigged. It was 12-15kts but getting windier so I went with the 5.2m Sailworks Flyer but gave it only 60% power. Headed out and foiled right away. Wind got stronger and was soon 15-20kts. Doc Mark arrived and came out on his 5.0m. Jumping Steve also arrived and came out jumping everything in sight. I came in and tightened up the outhaul so the sail had <50% power as I was well overpowered. The wind lasted about 30 mins, then Danno came out and I believe he was responsible for killing it as it never came back, all 4 of us that were out, turned and schlogged in to shore. TunaCan and ULR(Birdman) were rigged and ready for when it came back....well my friends, it never did. We all packed up and headed out. Short and Sweet. Home in time for the news and an ice cold corona. Nice! Hoping for some tomorrow but the forecast looks similar to today. I guess we'll see.
