Arrived early (9:30am) to 12-15kts. I rigged up the 5.2m but as I was about to head out it looked lighter so rigged up the 7.0m, Good Call BOBSON!! Out for an hour with Moths and Wasps buzzing by but spending a lot of time IN the water. One guy out there was amazingly skilled, sailing at, I'm guessing, 50km/h, straight up and downwind. WOW!! Stopped for a break and some water and more sunscreen just as the last South Island Windsurfer, Shawn, was heading out on a big board and 7.2m sail. Met T&T and Rupp-Dogg in the parking lot, chatted about wind and foils then I headed out again for another 90 mins. T&T joined me and Rupp-Dogg thought it better to go shopping' Whatevs!! It lightened up and was about 8-12kts so pretty light but great for the 7.0m Sailworks Flyer (Session Saver). Ripped around, trying to stay out of the way of the Wasps as they raced around some buoys right in the prime foiling area. Sunshine and some wind warmish wind, pretty sweet session. 65+ kms travelled and lots of pumpity-pump so it was a good workout too!! Hoping for some Winging tomorrow afternoon at RB. I guess we'll see. Ding!
