Crazy wind day! I had a hunch the first wind spike was more of a squall and indeed it dropped as soon as I got the 4m pumped up, from about 30 to 15, then when I got the 5m pumped up and out there it died to zero. Sat and waited then started getting some North. After a while filled into 20-25 which was nice to get flying on the 999 for the first time. Realized it was more the short fuse I was probably getting used to, a bit like a rodeo for a while, then got better. Felt so nice and fast downwind, too bad didn't have too many opportunities as it picked up to mid 30s and was way OP on 5m. Finally accepted the wind was probably 3m so went in and pumped up the 3m. By the time I got through the shorebreak and out it had dropped to 4.5m. I should have known better.
Fun trying a new thing and feeling the speed. Feels so nimble.
