With OB 1/2 Marathon cutting out Willows/CP and Super low tide making IV difficult launch/land. So I decided on the drive out to Sidney and Foil in Bazan Bay. Parked just South of Tulista Park along Lochside Dr. as the launch there is pretty easy on super low tide. Other than one big rock that is pretty obvious it's easy come and go and some big jets going over head. As I arrived it was 10-14kts per my windmeter but with the light forecast I decided to rig bigger and go with the smaller foils which worked pretty good. As I hit the water it was a bit lighter (8-12kts) but continued like that and got a little stronger for the last 45 mins. Foiled over to Sidney Spit a few times but not quite enough wind to go where ever I wanted as the tide was running pretty quick. I decided to call it a day and come home and watch golf and hockey and quench my thirst on a Sunday Funday with a delicious ice cold Corona. This is one of my favourite secret spots so please don't tell anyone about it. Shhhh, quiet time doods.
