Sunday session wasn't expected as the forecast was very light (and early). I decided to finally test the DW board and 6m AA in light conditions. Neither disappointed. I was quickly reminded however that the caution with light wind gear it that is can get you out but not always back. Just a couple knots less or a chop in the wrong direction and you can't get up when way out there. After learning that (again), I stuck closer to shore where the wind was better anyway. Nice conditions in gusts and lots of fun playing around working on lighter air gybes and tacks.
One cautionary reminder is to be on the look out for large yacht F*$&wits cruising by Pipers on autopilot. I literally would not be here today if I hadn't at the last moment realized that sound I was hearing was almost on top of me. A quick steer into the wind and I ended up floating and swearing at the 50' yacht cruising by 20' away with no one on the bridge and, from what I could see, no response at all from inside. I should have got the name of the American boat. F@$%ing A#$@le!
