Missed the best winds arriving at Noon. The RC sail fleet racing at Wheatcroft Pk in the Lagoon had the best overall conditions imo. Rigged & ready by 2pm. A lull between fronts delayed launching till 3pm. 2pm Reading at Entrance was 18knots but it didn't fill in. Also Harmac was running near full tilt and bright skies over Nanaimo may of been the result of heat from the mill. Which likely reduced the wind field strength of fronts as they passed over Newcastle Isl. Overall Not much rain & better wind than forecast at 3pm meant an hour of low speed sailing and lots of chances to practice light wind short board tacking in lumpy seas. Only half completed without dropping the rig. Damn.. This is only the 3rd of 43 outings this year I sailed in a full wetsuit. Sure adds a lot of weight reducing the bouyancy of my biggest short board (and my agility to some drgree). Board needs another 10 liters of volume in the tail.
