Waited for the "lull". Got going about 1:30 as it was 62knots at Ogden Pt around 11:30!! Went with the small foil and teeny 2.5m wing, still way too much at times and others a bit under. Wind was holy shit gusty and shifty and blasty. Waves were XXXL. If you ventured anywhere outside the bay it was just another level of amped up. Quite a lot of brave souls on the sea considering the conditions (about 12 of us throughout the day). Basically a lot of puckering and trying to relax (yah right!), many ejects, jibe fails, straight line fails, with the odd moment of it all coming together for a few seconds of blissful huge fun. Sorry to see Tugboat floundering and nearing the St.Charles corner rocks, hope everything is good, looked like he was able to get onshore under his own power. We sent the rescue mobile(s) (Tweezer sprinter) for pickup. A good reminder for everyone to check your gear, leashes, straps, helmet, crash vests and make good choices! Winter winging is upon us.
