Finally on Hornby with some gear. Tribune Bay is a sandy beach but the SE wind is directly onshore, and the wind seems to lift off the water near the shore which means it is a bugger to get out and planing through the shorebreak. Couldn't get ripping on the Naish 104L All Terrain so I tried my new Naish 10'6" SUP (which has a mast track). What a blast, it was super easy to tack in the waves, even caught a couple of waves and surfed along on them. I really bought this Naish 10'6 SUP for paddle surfing, but was impressed with it sailing in small waves. The water was warm enough for a shorty wetsuit. Will post pics later.
