The wind didn't live up to the Ballenas reading, plus weedy. Not much wind even on the outside unless I went way out. So when I was trying to get up on a plane I would look down and there was the weed slowing me down. Then I would try a jump to get rid of it, hit a big ramp and then drop out of the sky due to 0 wind. 4j and I agreed that the best technique seemed to be to slog out as high upwind as possible and then try and find a wave to ride in. Waves were great by the beach today and I had about 6-8 good rides in.....and did I mention the 125 meter walk back to the rigging area? A bit frustrating but actually a good day :?
