Nice recovery day spent on the water after a long work stint with no days off. The reservoir was clear of ice, but the water was COLD, probably 1-2 C. Ice block feet found it hard to find the straps. Light and gusty at first, okay for the 99L and 5.8. Tried out the new Wardog 9.75" fin - it keeps upwind well for such a wavy shape! The wind built around 3:00 rapidly. Rigged 5.0, but should have chosen the 4.5. Sailed the 86L and 5.0 OP for about 3 hours. Tiring. Good gybing practice though. The Naish cuts through chop well. It sure is turny, and reactive to foot pressure - fun! Mostly just back and forth blasting. A few hops. I was the lone one on the lake. I had a few campers to keep an eye on me. I stopped and watched a few large herds of elk on the drive home, and was treated to a great susnset over the mountains. Great day.
