OK, timing bit off today, all good now  felt gusts after dinner, hockey, beers. Off to Cpt rig in a frenzy only to be vastly OP on 5.3 in wicked winds that kept building, worried about lightning but figured: "what a great way to go out" & thot the squally stuff would die as I re-rigged. No way! Finally relented, arms 2" longer, grabbed 4.7 & still OP, then calmed a bit, waves built to huge monster rollers, what a blaaaast!! Best sesh ever at KP!
Sail 11 Wave 10 Jump 9
Hit ramps to go as high as you want going out, after the mega chop/wind subsided (at first made about 10% of my outside gybes for a bit there, manoman that was annoying, a bitch waterstarting too) ride the silky smoothies in, the reef going off, cut backs as hard as you wanted, despite the 98L the OES feels like a tiny high wind board amazingly, easily could have been on 80L, full speed, throwing massive rooster tails in turns, cheering section was working with lights and horns, got off the water at 2105 wishing for more daylight but knowing the tank was way empty anyway :D de-rig in the headlights....downside: higher tide so lots of firewood chopped today, hit one log where the carbon kevlar rail lost :? 2 inch crunch, ouch :x The rest of the collisions seemed to have not much effect, no other damage noted. Funny thing that ....about sailing in da dark... ya can't see much  Can we do it again :?: :?: Please :!:
