Arrived at Nitinat at noon, with sun and whitecaps. No one on the lake :D Only 4 other vehicles in the campground.
Jellyfish, et al all rigged and set up camp. BA ready to go on the water.
BA helped me launch. Kinda light still, but kept the kite moving and up. Rocks just below the surface of the shoreline super slippery and hazardous.
Decided to bodydrag for first run. Felt confident and JF landed my kite just before the point.
Walk back upwind, and helped with BA's launch.
Tried another downwinder with the board this time. Tried getting up, with some success, then something squirrelly happened in the middle of the lake, lost my board, and had to focus on the kite. Bodydragged into shore. Self landed my kite way downwind, and scoured the water for my board. No luck.
Generous Philip, Terry and Gord of the band offered to help me find my board in their boat. Was way out there, but thankfully retrieved it.
'Walk of shame' back to camp and w247 went out w/s ing.
Good lessons learned today...
