Missed the 4.5 weather of the late morning, but pretty nice anyway. Water WAY warmer than it was in February!!!! Wind came up a notch and made very fast planing jibe, looked like a record speed run for the old heavy board, then [color=red:7f8827b6b3][b:7f8827b6b3]BAM[/b:7f8827b6b3][/color:7f8827b6b3] boom broke :shock: Flipped boom upsidedown (found you have to disconnect rig from board to get uphaul off, kinda dicey), thanks to :?: for stopping to help lash the boom together, waterstarted and nursed it in. Wind was enough for 5.8 by then luckily. Managed a couple of runs on Seatrend before wind died and left me swimming, lost GPS by dragging booms over forearm to clear :cry: 44 kmph when booms broke, at least 60 km sailed. Looked like it was going to pour but never did more than a light shower. Cold on the beach.
