not much wind predicted for today. But, the trades were predicted to shut down so I decided to grab some gear. Good thing, it turned into a really fun day. picked up a RRD freestyle wave 100L and 5.8 ezzy. the sail was again new in the bag. RRD board was somewhat slippery on the deck. shop complains that RRDs are slick from day one. could have worn booties but bare feet rules on maui. perfect freestyle day - steady wind. worked on upwind 360s and almost got a couple, falling in at the end. started into a couple of wymaroos but couldn't figure out the popping bit. only about 20-30 people on the water.
rest of 5 days was no wind. family was happy with that as I was around in the afternoons. except for the afternoon of surfing with Randy.
