Ozy, check out punta mita for less crowded breaks. Sayulita i heard is a really crowded wave with mucho locals.

Maybe see you there, I leave on Jan 16th but will be staying south of PV for two weeks and driving up to the breaks.

Kitesurf. you only need a Honda civic for two or three dudes. averaging about 6.5 L/100km. Grow own food, own our own cows, try to buy a lot of local food. make the house more energy efficient ... limit air travel. :D

Nile Creek - around 1/2 hr drive north of Parksville. Take the Horne Lake exit off main highway. Helps if wind has a bit more East in it. i.e. more sensitive to a SSE/offshore windshadow than CB.
