We just got back from Kehei and stayed here:
http://www.nonalanicottages.com/hotel-overview.html
A great place with very friendly family running it.
We also rented here here:
http://www.kanahakai.com/
which is great because for the same price you can switch between SUP and windsurfing.

Kauai windsurfing vacation
Looking at going here in April with my wife. I know Maui is the better windsurfing place, but want to try a different island.
Any comments/suggestions on where to stay, where to windsurfing and rent gear?

Driving Nitinaht to Bamfield
Interested in carrying on from Nitinaht to Bamfield next weekend, and wondered if anyone had any reports of the road condition? Notes on which turns to make? Cheers.

Formula board for fun in light winds?
Wondered if anyone had any comments on getting a Formula-type board and a big sail (8.0-11.0) not for racing, but for having some fun on those low-wind days...

Advice for longboard transitioner
I've got a Mistral One Design (longboard, 7.4m dual-cambered sail) right now (which I'm going to keep for those light wind days). I've also sailed a Carve 145 with 5m-9m sails (if felt pretty "slappy" when getting into the waves). I can water start sometimes, and mostly gone in Cadboro Bay so far ...
