For new kiters

One place that isn't getting mentioned much, but was really helpful when I was learning kiting (10 years ago): Parkesville area. No, not in the summer, for obvious reasons. But I remember being at the stage where I had progressed from trainer kites, had bought my first 'big' kite, and needed somewhe...

Just want to say THANK YOU to Reuben for sharing the story. This thread may actually safe someone's life, seriously, and that wouldn't have happened if you had not spoken up on BWD. I also echo Dale, TK, and Dave's comments, thank you and in fact everyone who has contributed to this thread. I think ...

Yeah, I am thinking of getting 'small' flat panel, about 32-37 inches since the room is pretty small and it's almost always just the two of us watching. That said, HP makes a 30 inch monitor that has much higher res than 1080p, which might be nice for computing purposes. Thanks for the responses. I ...

flat screen monitor/'TV'

Hey BWD users! Question: Does anyone have any suggestions for the following situation? We are currently using our computer and monitor for our video entertainment needs, which boils down to mostly watching a movie or two a week during the dark months. The speakers for the computer are great, and the...

Martin: awesome Baja story, I love it. Reminds me of the mechanic working on Gerry's van who came to the campground and completely redid the rear suspension for dirt cheap.

Hope you have an awesome fall and winter!

JL: Now that's a storm tracking website! Impressive!

Grant/Cammie,

Do I remember correctly that the venue might change to Cook St. if that was where the wind was going to be?

And given the Enviro Canada forecast for westerlies tomorrow afternoon, is this a likely scenario?

Hope you are healing quickly Grant!

I have an older version of the Pentax Optio (W10), and it has 30 fps video, one of the reasons I bought it. It seems odd that a newer version wouldn't have that? be sure to use digital preview I did, and it is the reason I bo...

Ahem.... FYI, I resent the implicit implication that KOOK is somehow a derrisive adjective. I've always thought that it is used to denote a rider of the highest skill and calibre :D

Hope the board shows up!
