NV 3500

Hi Markus, It is not a 4x4 version. I owned a 4x4 GMC Sierra pickup for 10 years. But I hardly ever put it in 4WD, even with skiing 60+ days a year. The Baker and Whistler roads are fine with good rubber.....and I will have chains if required on the way to Revy. I think 4x4 just adds a ton of cost? ...

Van purchase

Hey, Just to follow up. I ended up buying a 2016 Nissan NV 3500, 1 ton van, not a full Sprinter. Why? I am getting a seasons pass to Whistler next year and decided a tall Sprinter van was just too big for ski trips. We are also planning a Revy ski trip in January or February 2017 (.....there are up ...

Re: Away time

K28. Maybe you should stay off the net. Down time is better when on no net time. Sailed the 5.7 today. Dreamy G!! Glad you like the Ezzy 5.7M. It was hardly used. It needed a good home. Re the internet. I knew someone would say that (be unconnected)....but when you have kids and/or a partner....ime...

Internet

Hi Anne, Maybe consider another pricing model for the internet? Its great to have it but at $5 per 30 minutes it adds up....in addition to the camp fee of $17? Maybe if someone can prove they paid the $15 or $17 camp fee they get internet for cheaper? Or consider a internet seasons pass....ie if I a...

Yep, there are choices like chicken jibing, not going to the coast, learning kiting, and writing about going to the coast next year... Ouch wd?! Damn. That hits hard. Tough love I guess? OK....that's it then. No more posting in this thread by me until I go to the Coast. I must face my fear...likely...

Really? Look forward to?! Not gonna lie but that pic scares me. I am planning on trying the Coast this year (unless I can't stop kiting) but damn that is not Nitinat!

I get your points But.....in rebuttal. Parkade at Whistler Creekside accepts low roof, not high roof. Most driving I do is not on gravel...I go through Alberni mostly to Nitinat. Everywhere else is paved....ie Gorge, Baker, Coast, Whistler, Nimpkish The 1 ton I am looking is the PASSENGER version wh...

Why wouldn't you buy a high roof? That's like buying a jeep with no 4x4. Strongly urge you to drive a 1 ton and 3/4 ton. If not loaded the heavier springs in the 3500 will just rattle you that much worse over every bump with no added upside. Drove both the 3500 HD (1 ton) and the 2500 HD (3/4 ton)....

Van

So... Really seriously thinking of the Nissan NV 3500 (1 ton) passenger van....low roof, not high roof. 10 ply tires....and HEATED seats! Leather I think? All seats come out, lots of room for boards inside (270 cm), with a bed on top of boards and put SUPs on roof and bike rack out back. I know you ...

Re: BWD

I wasn't picking on you Kuster. I just felt the site is getting a little rough on newcomers a lot of the time. We need to get new people involved, so let's treat them nice till they know us then..... We can abuse the hell out of them. That's all Hey Gwind..... Keep it up. Come over for a few beers ...
