LOCAL SURFERS PUT ON A PARTY FOR A CAUSE
For immediate release, Victoria, British Columbia…
On Thursday, September 28th, Surfrider Victoria presents the first annual Cold Sweat, a surf-inspired fundraising event at Steamer’s Pub.
The event fuses music from Vancouver’s Make the Lion and Victoria-based Pacific Sound Wave, a fashion show featuring designs from local surf shops, and raffle prizes including surfing lessons in Tofino, an Arbor skateboard, wetsuits, gear signed by surfing legend Kelly Slater, and more.
All proceeds go towards initiatives to protect and enhance local beaches and coastal ecosystems.
WHAT: Cold Sweat
WHEN: Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 8 p.m.
WHERE: Steamer’s Pub, 570 Yates Street
COST: Tickets are $15.00 at the door
DETAILS: Entertainment includes music from Make the Lion and Pacific Sound Wave, a surf wear fashion show, and more.

Surfrider Victoria is a non-profit grassroots organization committed to the protection of South Vancouver Island coastal ecosystems.
