Windsurf vacation over X-mas Holidays

Post by otisdadog »

Looking for suggestions on a good place down south to do a windsurf vacation over the christmas holidays, was looking at the Vela Windsurf resort packages. Has anybody tried those before?

Drive to La Vantana! It's a blast. Take 5 days down and 5 back and the rest on the water!! I suppose you need 3 weeks for it to be worth the drive.

Was looking at that area, unfortunately I don't have enough time to drive down. Any ideas on good places to rent gear and accomodations?

there were a handfull of places on the beach that were either camping or B&B style where there was a huge shed full of new gear to sail (if you windsurf). Just google them. I think Martin would really know where to stay as he spends as much time there as here. I was in the public campground and it was great if you were on a budget and had everything you need. The were some guys there that flew to La Paz and caught rides to La Ventana. Just don't get sick from eating unpasturized ice cream like I did. Crawling to the banjos at 3 am and puking my guts out for 2 days really took away from time on the water.
