Penguin I loved the board. Super easy to ride- totally different animal than the old Mako surf. I found it very fast when you wanted it to be- never been that fast on surfboards, or surf-kite boards- and handles the chop way better than any surf shape, or surf board I have tried. Its goes up wind really well, and love riding it toeside- was amazed at how high I could point. The real highlights were unreal carving bottom turns and off the top snaps and carves on the wave face. I would ve expected the modifications made to the rail shape and tail rocker that make it a great kite board( fast, glides through chop and bump, upwind edging) would sacrifce the surfiness on the wave- but not so. I rode a couple of small hollow waves and it was loose rail to rail, and top turn slashes. The squash tail was great for digging in hard on the lip.
For the 'bump and jump' and on shore wave conditions we get here- I think its perfect, though I am going to get one a few inches bigger for light airs. You gotta try it out. Rode it lit up and also I got going in 13-15 knots on a 10 m rise with it, and I am 205lbs without suit/harness.

Super sweet ride, thanks for the loaner Ocean Rodeo...[/i]
