Any suggestions on how to fix a very worn control bar?

Post by BCBen »

Hi,

I’m new to kiteboarding and need some advice. I recently picked up a nice North control bar - very cheap but fine for my 4.5m and it gets me started. The problem is the bar has definitely seen a few days on the water and the padding/adhesive has been totally worn away. I was wondering what I could use to fix it. I’m not too worried about it being water proof as I’m starting out doing some landboarding but I wouldn’t mind a little more grip. Any tips?

You probably can buy a new older bar for around 75$

I would do it with windsurfing grip tape. You can buy it @ Excel Watersports or Bosan's
