Nitinat Sat-Wed. Need help predicting

Post by jatkinson »

Looking at making an impromptu long weekend and don't really know much about forecasting Nitinat. The only forecast I know of hasn't been updated since June 5th, so I am at a bit of a loss. Trying to decide between heading to Nitinat or the Gorge.

As far as I can figure...
Coastal winds forecast in the 15-20 knot NW range through Wed (this is good right?)
Sunny forecast through Tuesday, Warmer inland than at the coast (also good right?)

Am I missing anything? Any amateur meteorologists want to take a stab at it?

Thanks for your help,
JJ

Those conditions are more or less like today and look at the webcam:

Looks pretty good. The fog bank is helping too. I think the conditions at Nitinat will be very good for the next 4 or so days. 4.5 to 6.0.

See you there!
I wish my TOW was longer!
