Last night's truck accident really demonstrates how disconnected south island is from the rest of our beautiful Vancouver Island. Not to mention, more importantly, the fragility of our ecosystem with this environmental disaster. Transportation issues in Victoria are a huge growing concern that is at a tipping point. An analogy, Victoria is busting at the seams, and the Malahat hwy 'stream' requires more alternative routes than these little shepherded goat trails of Finlayson Arm, and Lk Cowichan to Pt Renfrew. What about a road from Sooke to Shawnigan?
