Hello everyone. I guess I owe Jeff some publicity since he sent me a cheap(ish) 2006 Hot Sails Maui Superfreak 5.5. I am definitely not very good (can't quite gybe yet) so I'm hardly qualified to comment on the sail.

However, with my limited experience and abilities, I'd say it is fantastic! Super forgiving in the gusts (compared to my 2002 Naish Edge), and yet super powerful at the same time. I've only sailed it for two days but it looks really durable. Every high wear area is reinforced - some of it with real leather! And the whole luff sleeve is made of webbing material so it should take a real beating. It also looks pretty unique out on the water too (so I'm told). I got colour 225.

Anyway, based on my limited knowledge and experience I'd definitely recommend this sail. If you know Jeff he can probably get you a deal too... Mine arrived straight from Maui to Victoria in two business days!
