From the OED;
1. Knob point, n.
...A dysphemism for the geographical location where a wind surfer can no longer go upwind and a kite surfer is just getting started ripping upwind, often used incorrectly [sic] to emphasize the difference in the difficulty of a wind surfer back roll verses the general ease of a kite surfer back roll. (Origin; from the Greek 'knobus spatuli' -'flip it, it’s done already').

calories... the unit tells me 5026 calories had been burned. I wont call this an accurate measurement as the option of sports settings on the gps does not include kiteboarding. Skiing is the setting i use for my watertime. Although after four months of kiting my physique has definatly changed for the better. many, many calories have been burned off while rippin the waves. Especially some of the exhausting "mogul" like conditions on cook st.
