I'm naive to how the fraudster would work this scam out. How would it work?

I was chasing down a camper van that was an awesome price that I found on Craigslist in Calgary.

I emailed them and the story that came back as to why it was so cheap was very entertaining yet believable. I am widow and my husband loved this van and I just want it gone. It is not actually in Calgary anymore I had it shipped out to NewFoundland which now is where I live.

She then told me that she would ship it at her cost to me on the west coast....I knew it was BS, but I continued to understand how they would get my money and yet not deliver it.

She finally sent me a link for payment and it was using an Ebay motors looking site. It looked totally real except for the crazy URL of the page. It was totally fake, but everything else looked exactly the same as the Ebay motors payment page. I could see this working for someone that lacked computer skills.

That is awesome JL! I rented a 2014 Ford van like this for an Oregon trip and it got about 10L/100km. I'm sure you are going to lose a little economy with the upgrades in this, but i bet it isn't as bad as most would think on fuel.

This is actually a really good deal assuming it hasn't been beaten up.

wow  that's a serious improvement over my 22L/100 combined for the one I had, 351cc 12 passenger 1 ton club wagon. Sure hope my diesel gets better than that..... :? not on the road yet  will let you know

Maybe the transmissions were really heavy?, they sure weren't heavy duty at $4000 a pop x 2  Sure hope my diesel gets better than that..... :? not on the road yet  will let you know
