No question that we should all be informing all users of the "guidelines" or "rules" in respectful, polite ways - as a matter of safety and courtesy.
I spoke to some "newbies" (to NN) on the weekend about not launching downwind of the stump and they were appreciative of the advice and moved up.
It is all in the "how" we speak to each other - rather as a matter of responsibility (for our mutual use of the water) than as a matter of our rights to any stretch of beach.
