I'm trying to convince KC7777 and mtm to join me on the Southern Coast the first week of July, plus or minus a few days depending on forecasts. You'll see us hanging with wsf and jfish, and we'll be looking forward to being introduced to all the bwd loggers there (ps., my auto-spell-checker likes to replace bwd with bad?). All of us are rookie PR and CS sailors, we'll be most appreciative of good advice ranging from sailing site etiquette & best practices to eatery & camping suggestions. Really looking forward to this.

Officially bailing on the contest due to a variety of reasons and heading down with everyone else. Either Thursday night (June 21) or Friday morning. Be cool to hang out on the Coho and caravan with anyone else.

I am super stoked to venture into new territory with great people. Heading down as a convoy seems like a smart idea. Im down. As a noob, im doing my best to do my homework; there will be a few questions I'm sure.
Now until then I hope to get as much time on the water as possible

Anyone down there already (Kus) have a 'gut feel' or favoured forcast for making a 'go-no-go' decision for next week (June 18-22)?

Just go... this time of year you are going to get wind. That place rarely shuts down for more than a day at a time for the 3 years I have been paying attention. Everyone else is going down June 21-23 ish... would be nice to sail with you again.
