Possible weather station since the place has internet, do you think the outfit is interested in hosting? :?: The Nat station works pretty damn well and HQ is also online but this would be a bit earlier warning 8)

That would be awesome. So far the requests have fallen on deaf ears of the PAPA, who manages China Creek marina. Also, China Creek's wind conditions are more similar to Nitinat than Port Alberni , and the PA-Harbour Quay weather station /webcam helps us in town, but , doesn't reflect the conditions at China Creek, which usually blows earlier in the day.

yes the graph is available by selecting the nitinat on the latest reports table, it's quite accurate.

China Creek OSR by 'Girlonaboard' Kiteschool

Post by Sandy Beach »

Great article about 'Girlonaboard' kiteschool in the Business Examiner.

How's the wind today at China Creek? Hot, sunny, calm with fog bank on the Alberni canal this morning in town. I forecast wind in PA later today, with that fog snaking up the inlet from the coast.

On site report for today

Post by girlonaboard »

Wind has already started its 16 knots. Its not pulled into shore so we will wait an hour to get out. Early starts usually mean stronger winds. Expect 16 to 20 knots and with clear skys it typically stays till sunset
