My girlfriend and I are spending six months driving down the west coast in my Tacoma. We will not be going further than the Panama canal, that we know forsure. How far we actually do get is anyones guess.

Thanks for sharing Colin. When/if you hit the coast s. of Acapulco I've got friends in Peurto Escondito ... Serious surf country apparently ... 8)

Right on guys! I wish I had the guts to drive it! When you get to Nicaragua don't miss Ometepe - the big vocanic island in Lago Nicaragua

I remeber there being lots of wind a few days there.
and San Juan del Sur is great surfing but is off- shore and big gusts so kiting is too dicey. This is a great last stop before you get to more expensive costa rice.
