Are there any shops in Nanaimo to buy windsurfing Gear? Or does one depend on the internet?

Windsurfing shops in Nanaimo

Post by rvanderbyl »

No shops in Nanaimo that I know of. Collin at Island Longboards might be able to help if you want to order something through his shop. Online shopping works well too. Check the links on BWD home page.
Why aren't YOU out there?

Moving to Nanaimo (Pipers) 17Aug09, got lots of good gear, as well as backup gear, but break lots too.
Really looking forward to the winter sailing at Columbia!
It sounds as though I cannot get same day replacements for next day sessions after breakage as I do in Vancouver. Delivery of equipment sounds like 1-2 days from Victoria and 1+ week by internet?? Will have to plan my inventory accordingly!

Thanks for the offer of good gear cheap as well as the links. We will see you on the water soon!

Valhala Pure should have some for rockclimbing as long as your looking for downhaul diameter type stuff.

Or you could also try Alberni Outfitters.
