Thank you to everyone that picked up stickers this weekend. The proceeds help to keep the webcams going and pay for Internet etc. We have lost some big sponsors lately (Bosuns, Ocean Rodeo) so any extra help is good. Special thanks to the BWD marketing department (aka Sandy Beach) for selling so many stickers.... we love you!!!

Wind is Good sticker slip
Whoops, accidently lost an O, and now it has a higher meaning 'Wind is God'
Life is all about balance, and a dose of healthy wind addiction

I probably misunderstood these instructions. I followed them but I couldn't figure out why you would "spray soapy water in the area you want the sticker". I did that and the sticker wouldn't stick - it just slid around. For my next try I used Windex to clean the surface and then completely dried it.bwd wrote:
Big Wave Dave sticker install tips:
1: start with a cleaned smooth surface.
2: rub sticker with credit card on the application tape side, not the release paper side. use credit card like a squeegy, on 45 degree angle.
3: remove release paper from sticky side of sticker.
4: spray soapy water in the area you want the sticker and on the back of the sticker too. (a little dish soap with water works well)
5: position sticker where you want it.
6: squeegy soapy water out from sticker, again with credit card on 45 degree angle until air bubbles and soapy water is removed.
7: spray soapy water on application tape.
8: wait 30 to 45 seconds and peel application tape. don't pull away from applied surface, rather pull along it, back on the sticker, less chance off pulling the sticker off the surface this way.

Then I followed these steps:
2: rub sticker with credit card on the application tape side, not the release paper side. use credit card like a squeegy, on 45 degree angle.
3: remove release paper from sticky side of sticker.
4: spray soapy water on the back of the sticker (a little dish soap with water works well) <-- I omitted this step
5: position sticker where you want it.
6:
7: spray a little soapy water on application tape and squeegy the bubbles out
8: wait 30 to 45 seconds and peel application tape. don't pull away from applied surface, rather pull along it very SLOWLY.
The result looks beautiful. Thanks Joostio and Dave!

Stickers
Hmmm, I just peeled and stuck them to the wind mobiles, without all this trouble. Zero errors - just pull the top paper slowly, paying attention, taking the time to get it right (as A. Kieth once did). I ignored reading the instructions (par usual), I guess too many yrs using a Mac?
