Flights to Maui

Post by nanmoo »

Just checked West Jet's site for April airfare and the prices have finally come down like they always seem to this time of year. $189 one-way in April, which is actually cheaper than what I paid last year to go in May ($169 to Oahu + $35 connecting to Maui). Regular price is over $400.

And I believe April is one of the best times to windsurf or kite because there is likely to be both wind and waves? Dammit, that's really, really tempting!

Well, May is actually supposed to the "sure thing" in Maui, but as well all I know I got skunked over my two weeks there last year!

Last year it worked out to about $450 all taxes and Fee's return, So I'd expect about that again.

We did the whole 13 days last time, flights, car rental, gear rental food and accommodation for about $1200 each (2 of us), and we ate better than kraft dinner.

Haha Sandy that is hilarious!

We went last month for 10 days. Not much wind but I did get out with the humpback whales for one day in Kihei. We flew westjet there and Air canada home, two of us flew for about $950 return taxes and everything except dinner at the Sammy Hagar restaurant before the return flight.

We stayed in a pretty nice condo in Kihei. I think all in it was about $3500 for 10 days. We plan on going back next year! 8) Check craigslist for last minute accoms.
