tips for island view?

i see a SSE forecast for a few hours tomorrow at island view.. ive never been there and would love some tips or info for the location! how is it for a beginner?

It's great !!! http://www.bigwavedave.ca/wiki/index.php/Island_View S.E. is preferred & watch out for the change to West wind .
Thermals are good.

thanks JL - looks as thought the forecast just changed to a SSW though :(

It's a great open spot, good for all levels. Even has bathrooms and if it's winter you can stand in the gazebo with everyone else while the rain comes down and tell kiting lies with the rest of us. And we'll believe them.
