Vancouver Island Vacation

Post by Bobson »

I'm heading up the island for Easter weekend, any suggestions of good hotels, places to go, things to do/see etc. North of Parksville. I'm going all the way up to Port Hardy from Victoria and haven't really been past Parksville in 30 years.

Thanks for any help.... :D
Good Times,
BOBSON!!

Here are a few of my favourites when I'm showing friends around:

Walk around the Qualicum Beach shops.

Poke about in the caves at Horne Lake Caves Provincial Park (bring flashlighs and headlamps, coveralls -- read the notes on the website). http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explor ... /horne_lk/

The Atlas Cafe in Courtenay has amazing food. I like going for brunch and ordering the "Atlas" or the "Blue Crab". Check out the menus at http://atlascafe.ca/

Near Port Hardy: Cape Scott! Long hikes but little elevation gain. Beautiful beaches.
