When I see it I'll believe it. Funny how the "reborn" Detroit three continue to foist archaic, gas guzzling (non-diesel), one size fits all vans on Canadians and Americans.

To be fair, Ford has had the frugal 4 cyl Transit Connect here for a few years now.

Sure Ford brought the transit, but in Europe it has a diesel / standard trans. option that gets great fuel economy :? This is new: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ROADTREK ... 474wt_1163

Image too bad about the Ford chassis but these chinooks look sweet, great layouts and like the diesel, 7.3L on this one.

BTW, the Transit Connect is NOT the same as the European Ford Transit (much larger and kinda similar to the Sprinter). Euros get 4 cyl and standard options in the big vans that make them comparable to economy cars for mileage - 6 - 7 litres per 100 km. They won't import them though, they don't think North Americans could figure out how to drive them :evil:

Nice one Kus. Run it on veggie oil like the ozyvan.

Here are some vehicles that I snapped in parkinglots. I like the low profile of the pop-top campers. And the Sprinter conversions always look great, but $$$.

In europe they have the Transit Connect which is the same as ours, PLUS the Transit, which is bigger and looks just like a Sprinter. So no they are not the same, but because there are two models. Transit Connect and Transit.

we might have more options for wind-mobiles soon. apparently the e-series is a going away and this Transit will be 'global'.
