Hi guys!

Here is my weekly report. Nothing to report except I am getting off steroids. Today is the last day I took the pill and since the dosage changed 3 weeks ago I already started losing weight around "steroid" areas. The only down side I am so weak - it's unbelievable! Last couple of days I am feeling better than during the last three weeks, but on the weekend I barely could stay awake for more than three hours :( So I had to stop doing my brain training exercises.

But I am getting stronger. Another couple of weeks and I'll be almost as new, I think. And then I'm going on chemo.

That's all my news.

Cheers

Andrei

RD. I play hockey on Wednesday night with a guy who had a malignant brain tumor. He had an operation, chemo, radiation, and now he is back playing hockey and looks and feels great. It can and will be beat. He's proof! Mike

Just to let everyone know that the tax receipt issue has been finally cleared up

Everyone will be receiving a tax receipt for their full donation to the BCCF.

In order to do this, I have to state that you will not be getting a raffle ticket for your donation. You are donating to the BCCF in support of Andrei, and the draw is separate ... But we will be holding a fun draw around Jan 7th with the prizes listed in the first post. We will consult some sort of list to get the people entered into the draw :)

Lots of healing thoughts to you RD!

BWD, thank-you for the update and we all really appreciate how much time and energy (especially behind the scenes) you have devoted to this fundraiser.

Positive healing vibes flowing your way, RD, and your flag flying at C.B. was awesome to see today in the webcam!

Great to see so many donations for the cause.

Hi guys!

Here is my weekly report. Still getting off the steroids. I can't believeit is that difficult! Every time I get off them completely I get fever so I have to go back and just reduce the amount I take. Every time I reduce the dosage I am so weak I barely can move for a couple of days. But I am on 0.25 mg instead of 4 mg. I guess I am getting there!

Another news: I got permission from my doctor to drive. That is nice since some times I feel like I am in prison in my own appartment, but now I can drive around!

Just a reminder for you guys, next week I start my first chemo cycle. That is going to be interesting ...

Thats all my news.
Cheers
Andrei

RD: Sorry to hear it has been so hard to get off the steriods completely. But glad to hear you have gained back some freedom with driving! :D

Try to keep focused on the finish line, you have come a LONG way already! Keep focused, keep strong - you can do it! :D

Like with any 'repair' project, sometimes you have to make things look worse before they look better. Just think how cool it will be when the 'rebound' kicks in! 8) :D

Strength and healing thoughts sent your way (as always).

Great turn out at the event

Post by Winger »

Andrei: Sorry to hear you were under the weather and could not attend the Fund Raiser. It was a great turn out with lots of sailors there to support the night. Try to stay strong and battle through those drugs!
