8) Kitesurfing..Gareth points out is 1 aspect of the sport...Kiteboarding is the'generic' name....Fly surfing seems to be the euro name....kitemare is a chaos term for obvious reasons (for some of us more than others)...

This same discussion is in one of the Kiting magazines. Kiteboarding was the concensus. Notice the OR and Strong banners on this page. Both refer to the sport as kiteboarding. However, at the end of the day, whichever term you use, we know what you are referring to. - Apr 13 3:58PM
