Nice start, got outta da rig & there's HollowBones running me down in the parkinglot 8) Wickedly powered 5.3, what a smooth unit, love it!! Tried few backies, 1decent rotation nose-in made my day  attempted 1st 2 vulcans, one helluva sore elbow outta that deal. Then things got nuts, OP 4.2 to mirror waters so we quit & refreshed. Cold beers in lot after, spags tonite w/ FullSailLTD

Pretty good for a day that was supposed to be light. Met up with Kus. Sailed 4.7 at first and it was great. Fairly steady, no crowds, and nice ramps. Lots of shuvit and vulcan attempts. Winds got fluky later on then it started to nuke. Rigged the 4.2 and got a short session with large swell. Cute Rob smiled at me....a good first day. Camping at the Bingen hospital and hope to hit Dougs tomorrow.

Wow what a day, started on the 12 Rise, something not right with rigging so quickly switched out to the 16m bronco. Then the wind picked up and desperation to get to shore kicked in, barely made it, contemplating ditching the kite. Rigged the 10m up and went crazy, LOVE that kite. Wind settled down after 20minutes so switched out to the 12m bronco. Cruised on that for half hour then decided to give the rise another go. Inflated the kite even more (the side was flexing when I was putting pressure on the ... (more)

Picked Hatch over Doug's, turned out to be right call. Early start to give 5.7 another try, what a great sail :!: does everything so well forgot to switch down when it started rippin', EVO & small fin didn't like the 5.0, had to try it too. 4.7 wouldda been the call for 1hr. Nice session but I slept in, feeling bit better after king's bfast. Got there 1130 and caught tail end of a very decent E sesh. Practicing forward loops exercise #1, no probs, working out the bugs and gaining confidence. After it got light I parked the EVO but...Strong current killed it when I got Jesus off da roof  a few planing runs, that was it.

:D Rode with Jens on 13s until it got too much. Then decided spontaneously to do a downwinder with the 10m and Quad Skull. Spent another 1/2 hour ripping up waves at CB. The wind had just filled in as we arrived and the swell started to pick up for some decent cutbacks and mini wave rides. I ran 21m lines on the 10m and it works super in the waves and for the downwinder. Really Great session!!! :D :D :D

About a hundred children on the beach.. school's end thing.

Workin on the jumpin, and a little toeside.

Got to remember to follow the kite..

Died off, rigged the 14. Downwind run.

    Quickly died off.

    Deflated.. picked up!

Convinced Winddoctor to get in the water with the new rise.(lucky duck)

    Died off.

Watched his kite touch the water just as I was leaving.

Checked the webcam archive later because I was currious,

and saw a perfect lightwind relaunch!

After waiting for wind all day on a day off, finally a little S sprang up long enough to tease me out - for about 5 min, it died and the rain started bucketing down. In desparation, took the paddle off and had a good workout - much harder to balance with tons of random boat wash/reflections of same, plus a pretty strong flood. It poured. Lots of oil sheen in patches made me not want to fall in this time (a fish boat that capsized yesterday and was righted today just nearby was responsible I think). A fis ... (more)

Thought I'd finally start my log. I was desperate to get out on the water, so I risked the light east winds, and was pleasantly surprised. Mostly slogging, but the occasional gust would propel me onto a plane - even enough for a few tiny chop hops and carving gybes. The new Mistral Shift's (ex Windsurfish/Janetfish) 99 litres helped, especially when combined with my 62 kg. The Shift has a fair bit of rocker, but still pops onto a plane fairly easily with some gentle coaxing. I like the comfortable Combat. H ... (more)

Good day to test the low end of the Quad skull. It is great, nukes the twin tip for low end and goes upwind like mad. Also does back and front rolls fine. The TT felt slow afterwards. Fun cruisy session. Must try rowland rd ... :D

The day started with signature "choo-choo" move. Going back in forth as a community train in less than exciting conditions. As day progressed it got a little better :D

    Special thanks to cheerleading squad!

Well desperate nuff to sail the squalls, tried out the new rise but to be fair it was a horrible session to even think of trying to report on its perfomance. Wind was very holey and on then off. What I can say is that the kite got me back to the beach when the wind virtually dissapeared, so that was cool.

:D Well, a great day to test drive my new Ocean Rodeo 9m ONE. Awesome! Downer that I was the ONLY kiter out, despite it being incredibly warm, sunny, and wonderful, but it sounds like everyone got out early. I am told I got the best wind of the day? It certainly was fun :)A couple of OK jumps, but what made my day was the one wave I rode in toeside that held and gave me a massive smile. Oh, that and being surprised on the outside with a wall of spray that I put up that blasted back in my face with a high wi ... (more)

Started out marginal and holey and gradually got better, the best wind was after everyone but Mark, Randy and I had gone - easily 4.7 and some nice waves to jump. The low tide early on made things kind of crowded on the inside due to all the kelp. Winddoc and BWD came back for seconds after carrying their gear up.
