Barely beach started in the bay, wobbled out through kelp, flare jibed dry :o and ended up at the stairs. Tried it again 10 min later, got planing momentarily, then semi-powered, so stayed outside for a bit. Crazy e-bound current meant waterstarting waiting for a puff and you were 3/4 of the way to Clover. Finally came up enough to plane comfortably and stay upwind easily for the last run. Fell on one jibe only :lol: Had a close encounter with a Martin 242 on a downwind race leg, bore off and surf-jibed dry somehow on a wicked big swell.
