Picked a good day to try out the new (WindDoc's old) 5m KT wing. I'll probably always prefer a boom but some really nice, and better, qualities with this wing vs. the Slicks. I like how you can slide our front hand back on the front handle for take-off and it kind of falls off into the power slot and accelerates well there. Also got up to OP or almost OP and it's got a really nice feel to it, powers up like a nicely trimmed genoa. Felt well in control for the most part. Hard to get used to the handles in the gybes, and by gybes I mean slogging gybes, no hope with flying gybes until I really get used to the back wing again.
Wind was up and down, too far North I guess. Filled in nice Westerly 20-25 as soon as I left back to work.
