Lots of action at Clover today, what with Swiftsure. I arrived after 12 when it had calmed down and met j_dog for a session. The wind had some lulls but for the most part was decent. It was choppy further out and so I started to do shorter reaches and stayed inside as the wind was good to the shore. During some of the stronger wind pulses I tried some tacks and was astounded when I made two tacks in a row with what I think was excellent form. It felt like magic. I was super chuffed about that and so the whole rest of the session had a glow to it. After a while the wind picked up a fair bit and I started to feel over powered so I headed in. As I was putting my gear away, I landed Jess and had a short but nice chat. It was nice to meet her and her partner Nick. I also landed j_dog and insisted that he give me a high five for my two resplendent tacks. Awesome, if cloudy, day!
