Arrived at 9:00am to 6-10kts and knew the forecast was for it to lessen throughout the day so figured this was my only chance so invoked Rule #11 - Just take the freakin' shot!! Ok, so I did. I put on the G1007 (1700cm2) front foil and rigged a super fat 6.0m Sailworks Flyer. It took a few mins to find a gust but 30 mins after that it had picked up to 10-12kts and foiling was sooo flippin' easy!! Flat water, pretty steady wind and no one else around that I'd have to not hit...ha! Got in another 45 mins of funtime foiling (still without a GPS watch - ugh!). There were about 10 kayaker's out heading towards Jemmy Jones so I circled them a few times then decided to call it quits as I was going for lunch with my daughter, as I came in, Gustastic was arriving and decided to 'Give it a Go' and apparently he got up foiling with his 6m Wing. Gave him a high five and wished him wind, he said he might even log his session.....I guess we'll see. I had a nice lunch and walk out in Sidney with my daughter and made it home to watch football and eat some chicken wangs and drink Ice Cold Corona's. WooHoo!!! Hoping my new watch will arrive this week. Maybe some wind on Wednesday......
