I knew I should have left earlier, but I still caught the last half hour or so of the strong wind/good waves. Tried out my newish 4.5...lovely sail. I knew it was good when it handled so well that I made most of my gybes with it. The wind dropped about 11:00, but was still steady, so I rigged the 5.8 and 99L and had a blast just cruising for another hour or so, dodging gigantic jellyfish and even getting a few hops and waverides on the outside. It is amazing how little wind that combination requires to get me going on a plane. It was nice to chat with BWD, Kus, Bean, IndianDog, Eastside and others. Great sailing to be observed today. I got a few photos. Huge turnout. Funny warm day at CB...no drysuit required!
