Re: BWD Oregon Coast "Whatever Goes" Sharkmethfest 2024
I've started checking the forecast for the coast already and saw this today. West swell, 16ft at 14 seconds, that's like a Tsunami! Anyone going done early? I'm looking forward to seeing how this unfolds.

Re: GPS Tracking how to's
I just used some new software someone posted on the BC wing foil facebook group. Works well with some nice options for winging, and it's free.

Re: Mid Aspect foils
I ordered the MA1225 for small-medium wave SUP foiling and light air winging, though I rode it today in 35 knots very comfortably.
Reading your latest session logs, this sounds like a great foil! I'm looking forward to taking it for a test drive in Newport this June! Hopefully I can get over to ...

Re: Mid Aspect foils
Sab 730 is low aspect. Lowest AR of any wing available on their site until the 633 comes back.
I was wondering about that, as the Armstrong ones are all around 7. I had read somewhere it was a MA wing. The Armstrong MA range look fun though.
Both foils are super thin and the 800 is the best ...

Mid Aspect foils
I noticed Armstrong has a new lineup of MA wings. Has anyone tried them yet? I just got a new Sabfoil MA wing, AR5, according to Sabfoil it's a surf wing, but it's great winging. It needs some speed, as I discovered yesterday but with a bit of wind and a wave it's super fun. Armstrong says "THE MA ...

Black Kraken
Thought some of the Sabfoil users might be interested in this. They must be having a hard time convincing people to upgrade to the Kraken system. Does anyone know of a local dealer doing this? I bought my old Onda surf from Kiteforce and I'm waiting to hear if I can do it through them.

Looks impressive, but not cheap. I just saw one on the kiteforce website and they are about $2000, just for the mast.

Re: GPS Tracks
I have used the first gen SE for two years along with the Waterspeed app (with a yearly subscription ~$20/yr). It has worked really well for tracking session GPS.
