Re: KT Wing Air

Sweet! How do the handles feel? That might be the only thing holding me back. I really like the rigid Cabrinha handles. That might be the only thing I'm not sure about. They feel good but seem a little close to the strut, hands might rub when slogging, I'll post again once I get them on the water. ...

KT Wing Air

Just picked up 2 new wings, looking sweet!
Thanks to Jesse and the Dirty Mermaid team!
Feel really light in the hands and well balanced. Lots of pumping power and look well built. They come with a nice leash and harness line too. :D Stoked, can't wait to get them on the water.

Re: Windsurf Foiling Discussion

Looking more right now at opening up the low end which for me means 10+ knots ish that English Bay gets reasonably often each month. I think for light wind foiling anything smaller than a 1500 is going to be challenging, almost frustrating, that's what I found anyways. I have the Sabfoil 1100 ( 210...

Re: Sabfoil Kraken System

Have you seen the custom stringy moses fuse. Multiple tail position and mast placement options. What more could you ask for. https://www.mackiteboarding.com/custom-moses-super-fuse-surf-fuselage/ Thanks smartang, that looks interesting, I can't see if it uses M6 or M8 screws for the front wing?

Re: Sabfoil Kraken System

It does have some benefits but I find with the Sabfoil gear any metal is asking for trouble. Smartang brings up a good point about the strength though, so there is a benefit there if you are buying a new setup. It would be nice to have 2 mast plates on different boards for making a quick switch. Wou...

Re: DIY wingfoil harness?

I saw this on a wingfoil chat. This guy used a 3d printer to make his own.

Thanks Windjunky! For sure Boundary Bay delivers some nice swell when the conditions line up, 2 miles off shore though. I was solo that day, usually there are a few more, super fun spot!

Re: WingFoil Videos

Testing out the new camera and mount, which didn't last the session but got a few good shots. Editing with the insta 360 is really fun. Lots of great angles to chose from. Also first day on the Moses 799 front wing, I thought it was going to be hard to ride but it's super user friendly and fun. It d...

Re: Wingfoiling Progression

Moses shims are designed to fit negative. I flipped my 0.5 around and trimmed to fit giving 0.5 positive. Which really took the edge off my 950 at high speed or in waves. Don't go more than 0.5 positive though, or it will get pitchy. Thanks for all the info Monicavi! I think somebody logged that th...

Re: Wingfoiling Progression

Interesting video on shims, maybe this will help but I can't seem to find any info on Moses shims. I'm assuming they are the same but this vid says the Armstrong V tail wing starts at -1 with no shim. Does anyone know what the Moses 450 starts at? My Moses shims say .5, 1 and 1.5 but it doesn't say ...
