My three cents:

Either pick Flites or Prodigies as the class. I think prodigy is the most accessible.

Have a real sailing start, none of this off the beach stuff which in my opinion is insanely dangerous.

Switch to twintips if you want to add jumping.

In August of this year the Windfest crew incorporated the Vancouver Island Windsport Association. I successfully used this organization to persuade Esquimalt to built a launch for us. We can use the official ness of it to approach the city of Victoria for webcam infrastructure. The name has a certai...

You can’t go wrong with the prodigies. Plus Ocean Rodeo is a local BC company – how cool is that? Don’t ship your $$ off to some company in the states. Prodigies are one of –if not the – best kites to learn on.

Go with Marty's offer. You cannot loose on that

Motel is very comfy. It would be my go too as well. Booked it with my newborn son.

Not the worst place in the world to have a quiet post session glass of wine either. And dinner is close with the cafe

I disagree here. Windsurfing is very fun, and provides a totally different sensation. I windsurfed before kiting.

You want to speak to KUS or maybe Winddude

1- 'Other' kite destinations segregate based on onshore wind. Huge difference from Nitinat. Segregating Upwind/ Downwind with kiters upwind, WILL end up with kiters in the windsurf area. Unless you want to build a wall. A huge wall. I know walls, and we could make a good wall. 2- If you really want ...

not to kite below the tree stump. Not. A. Chance. Windsurfers can go wherever you want. Kiters can too. We try and stay apart, agreed, but that's not a rule. It's a guideline. What you're proposing means that anyone who drifts into the windsurf 'Barrier' will be told off. Students, people who crash...

So one kiteboarding instructor, who everyone else thinks does a fine job, is *ruining* your Nitinat experience?

If he continues to *ruin* it, will you go back to the prairies?

Marty the force is strong with you.
